Vape pens offer an ideal combination of portability and performance. Their user-friendly design means you’ll enjoy a smooth vaping experience from day one – whether transitioning from smoking or simply exploring vaping, here’s how you can use one!
1. Charge Your Vape Pen
Once unboxed and connected to a USB port for charging, most vape pens feature an indicator light which changes color or goes out when fully charged – usually this process will take between 1-2 hours before you can use this indicator light as your gauge for when it’s ready!
2. Fill Your Tank or Pod
Once charged, the next step should be filling your tank or pod with e-liquid. For pod-based devices, remove them, locate their filling hole, and add your favorite flavor; on tank-based pens simply twist off their top, fill the tank, and reattach securely afterwards. Remember to let the coil soak up all of the e-liquid gradually to avoid burning its wick.
3. Turn On the Device
Most vape pens require you to manually activate them in order to operate, typically with five presses of their fire button for powering on. Some draw-activated models will turn themselves on automatically as soon as you inhale and exhale.
4. Begin Vaping
You are now ready to begin vaping! Inhale gently from the mouthpiece or, if your pen comes equipped with one, press its button when inhaling. Avoid sucking too hard as this could result in liquid entering your mouth.
5. Replace and Refill When Needed
Over time, your vape pen e-liquid may begin to run low. Refill the tank or pod when near empty to keep your pen working smoothly and to maintain efficient performance. If a burnt flavor or decreased flavor occurs in response to vaping, replace your coil or pod as soon as possible for proper functioning of your vape pen. Routine maintenance keeps vaping efficient!
6. Charging and Troubleshooting
To recharge, connect it to a USB port. If the pen stops functioning as expected, check its battery, coil, tank or charging port for dust accumulation before making sure everything is correctly connected.
Finding the Right Vape Pen
When selecting a vape pen, take into account both power and portability requirements. For beginners, selecting a small pod system vape may be optimal; otherwise, consider devices with adjustable settings if you prefer more control of your vaping experience. Also think about whether you would prefer built-in or replaceable coils to ensure optimal usage and costs over time.
